She was off. Why then, was she out here, trying to find someone to arrest or fight? Was it boredom? Yes, a lack of excitement did seem to haunt her at all times. "Am I cursed, or do gangs just like avoiding me? I hate the whole bloody ordeal. Patrolling is hardly even patrolling when you can't catch a few bad guys every so often." She snorted loudly, glaring at a small rat that scurried towards her. "What are you looking at? Come to laugh at the loser? Come to taunt the one who will never get a raise in rank? Hmm?" The creature, startled by her voice, scampered into a dark hole somewhere. Fox could have cared less. The police officer was so frustrated that she wasn't even controlling the level of her voice. Anyone by the alley could hear her. That wasn't much of a problem. Well, it wouldn't be, if there weren't gangs about.

Slash watched the frustrated officer from her perch on the top of a building. She was following her with shadow-like quiet. Of course she followed at a safe distance, just in case the moon made shadows. She snorted a bit as Fox took her anger out on a helpless rat. It must drive people out of their minds to patroll nothing. That must be why there were fewer and fewer officers these days. She yawned idly and continued along with her easy walk. She brushed hair out of her face and followed her down the alley.

Kit froze, a wary glint in her eyes. If anyone cared to look close enough, they would have noticed that the police officer held her hand by her gun a little too close for comfort. She had that odd, unnerving feeling that someone was watching her. Of course Fox loved action and risks, but nothing bothered her more than someone else knowing more than she.

Nita froze and crouched low to the rooftop. Her heart raced, she loved the suspense. She slunk along quietly, taking in the tenseness of the officer and her hand near the gun. Of course Slash's reflexes were like lightning, but if she moved quickly enough, this Fox character might score a nice hit on her with that gun of hers. She swore quietly to herself as a rock clattered to the ground below and the sound ricocheted off the walls.

With a speed that surpassed normal skill for a policewoman, Fox spun around, her gun cocked and searching out its target as she heard the clatter. From the echo, it was very hard to tell which direction, but she caught a bit of slight movement at the rooftops. How typical of a shady character to stick up high in those dank places, she mused as she aimed her gun in Slash's direction. "Freeze!" she called out, though she knew that the shot would be difficult if she needed to hit this person. It was quite possible that she would miss.

Slash rose slowly, hands in the air. "Hey, hey, no need to get pushy. I'm just a lonley Dragon trying to have some fun," she shouted down, her hands slowly inching towards a knife in a pocket on the back of her shirt. She changed her mind and bolted for the Dragon's Territory. She ran and ran, jumping down from the rooftops only when she knew she was safe. She caught her breath for a moment and walked back towards the firehouse that served as HQ. She slowly opened the door, wincing as it creaked.

Fox snarled a curse. "Dragon," she breathed in disgust. She knew her brother to be in that dispicable gang. Glaring at the spot where she had last seen Slash, she sighed and turned around again. I can't even catch a criminal properly. Typical.
